HERE'S HOW TO APPLY TO RENT ONE OF OUR HOMES:

In order to make the application process easier, review the Leasing Qualifications. If you believe you will be able to qualify, we offer a few ways for you to apply:

Each prospective tenant 18 years of age or older, who wishes to reside in one of our apartments or houses, must submit a separate application in full. Co-signers must also submit a complete application.

Every application to Real Estate Options must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $20.00 per adult, applying for the apartment or house (including co-signers). Applications received without the accompanying proper application fee will not be processed.

This non-refundable application fee is required for the purpose of verifying all information submitted on the Application to Rent, including, but not limited to, running a credit check and criminal history check and investigating all information regarding the applicant’s character, general reputation, personal character references and mode of living.

If an application does not qualify due to misinformation or missing information, the application fee for all applicants will be forfeited as liquidated damages. If an application is not processed due to acceptance of an earlier received application, the application fee will be returned in full promptly by mail.

DOWNLOAD and Print the Application (one for each person 18 years of age and older), fill it out in full, sign it and fax (817-622-6158) or scan and email (REO@RentFreeport.com) the application back to us.

Paying the Application Fee:

For a Single Person please click the BUY NOW button below and pay the Application Fee of $20.00.

For 2 persons submitting an application (including any co-signers), please click the BUY NOW BUTTON below and pay the Application Fee of $40.00.

For 3 persons submitting an application (including any co-signers), please click the BUY NOW BUTTON below and pay the Application Fee of $60.00.

For 4 persons submitting an application (including any co-signers), please click the BUY NOW BUTTON below and pay the Application Fee of $80.00.

 

In Person or By Mail or Fax...

In order to process your application, each prospective tenant must:

• Complete the Rental Application in full and sign it.
• Submit all applications with a CHECK or MONEY ORDER for the non-refundable Application Fee of $20 for the 1st applicant, and $20 for each additional applicant (including any co-signers).

These forms can be downloaded and printed by accessing the Application link.

Please deliver all completed documents and the Application Fee to our drop box (see description below) or mail to: Real Estate Options, P.O. Box 585, Freeport, IL 61032-0585. You may also fax them to our office at 817-622-6158 and then mail a Check or Money Order for the Application Fee to our office at the above address.

LOCATION OF REO APPLICATION DROP BOX IN FREEPORT:

For your convenience, we have an application drop box located in a brick barn in the alleyway between Winslow and Washington Streets, just off Adams Avenue.

If you are on Adams Avenue: go to the middle of the 400 block (between Washington and Winslow Streets) and turn WEST down the alley, just alongside 414/416 S. Adams. Halfway down the alley, on your left side, you will see the big brick barn with a large American Flag flying from it. (The Barn is covered with ivy in the summertime.)

If you are on State Avenue: go to the middle of the 400 block – adjacent to 411 S. State Avenue – turn EAST down the alley. As you come down the alley, on your right side, you will see the big brick barn with a large American Flag flying from it. (The Barn is covered with ivy in the summertime.)

On the wall of the barn which is closest to the alley (just like the drive-thru at McDonalds!), underneath the American flag, you will see a box filled with blank applications, and a big brass drop slot where you will drop your application(s) and the corresponding Application Fee(s).

APPLICATION RESULTS

Once you have dropped off your application, leave us a quick message that it is there.

Usually, it takes 2 business days from when we pick up your application until we have an answer for you.

However, please keep in mind that there are many outside factors that may influence how long it will be until we have results.

Sometimes we’ll be able to contact you sooner. If you have not heard from us after 2 business days or you don’t have a phone, don’t hesitate to contact us!
